Crossposted from BSL Workshop:
At the city board meeting this week, officials in Troy, Missouri authorized the city attorney to make changes in the current dog ordinance which will lead to the banning of pit bulls and “pit bull breeds” from the city. The action is in response to citizen complaints of pit bulls running at-large. The changes would give a 60-day period in which owners of pit bulls in Troy must register their dogs. The dogs must also be microchipped and litters must be moved out of the city by eight weeks of age.
