Ohio HB 14: Senate committee hearing on Nov 16

The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 14 on November 16 at 3:15 PM! North Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, Senate Building, Capitol Square, Columbus, OH.

If you live in Ohio, please attend the hearing to physically show your support for the repeal of statewide BSL. Please also contact the Senate Judiciary Committee and your own Ohio state senator and tell them that you support HB 14!

HB 14 is a comprehensive dog control bill that would repeal Ohio’s statewide BSL. HB 14 has gotten further in the process than similar attempts in previous years, and has the support of the Ohio Dog Wardens Association, so we have high hopes for its success. HB 14 passed the House in June and has been assigned to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

    any info on how this hearing went??

      It went as expected. No decisions were made at this hearing. We expect there will be another hearing or two before the committee comes to a conclusion. I will post as soon as I know when the next committee hearing will be.

    IAM A OWNER OF 3 PITBULLS AND I DO EVERYTHING THE LAW HAS ASKED OF ME BUT I REALY HOPE AND PRAY THAT THIS BILL PASSES BECOUSE THE WAY IT IS NOW I CANT EVEN BUT MY DOGS OUT IN MY YARD THAT HAS A FINCE ALL THE WAY AROUND IT AND THAY CANT GET OUT BUT BECOUSE OF THE LAWS IN KNOX COUNTY OHIO I AM NOT ABLE TO LET THEM RUN IN THERE OWN YARD
