Stop BSL works closely with many organizations, both nationally and internationally.  Below is the list of our partners, whom we work with personally, listed by state and country.  If you are local to one of these groups, and wish to get involved, please reach out to them.

Beyond Breed: “The bond between people and pets is universal. It stretches beyond socioeconomic backgrounds, breeds, or personal beliefs. We support this bond by sharing resources and information with pet owners and with the community at large.”  Facebook:

doberman pinscher club of americaThe Doberman Pinscher Club of America:  “The Doberman Pinscher Club of America (DPCA) is a national nonprofit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of Michigan. With approximately 2,000 members representing most of the 50 states and several other countries the DPCA is the “parent” organization of 53 Chapter Clubs located throughout the United States. The DPCA is a member of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and, as such, is the only national Doberman breed club which is recognized and sanctioned by the AKC. The major objective of the Club is to encourage and promote purebred Doberman Pinschers and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.”  Facebook:


cfbnlColoradoans for Breed Neutral Legislation:   Coloradoans for Breed Neutral Legislation works to provide education to help encourage public policy that increases safety through breed neutral legislation.  They work to dispel the myths associated with the false assumptions that breed bans work, while disseminating factual, peer reviewed scientific evidence create effective laws that help foster safe and humane communities., Facebook:


dolly foundationDolly’s Foundation:  “The purpose of Dolly’s Foundation is to offer community support to pet owners in central Florida by providing free spay and neuter services to families in need of assistance, as well as assist owners with caring for their pets on a case by case basis.”  Facebook:


MD dog federationThe Maryland Dog Federation:  “The Maryland Dog Federation promotes, protects and defends the canine-human bond; encourages and promotes the welfare of dogs and the interests of people connected with dogs; preserves the rights of reasonable dog owners; and presents a rational, balanced approached to dog ownership. MDF is a grass-roots group that is concerned about laws that directly impact over one million dog owners in the Free State.”  Facebook:


Ruff Riders: Ruff Riders is a grassroots out reach program dedicated to reaching underserved and under resourced communities in New York City to provide pet owner support. Ruff Riders is in conjunction with Beyond Breed.  Contact is currently through the BB Facebook page or through the Dogs of New York project.

    i would like to know if there are any groups here in Oklahoma City that are fighting against the ownership of pit bulls. If so can you point me in the right direction to help fight the fight. Thank you for all you have done for such a beautiful breed.

    • We are expanding our list as we vet new organizations. When I find a good one in that area, I will post it.
